With products that are typically locally made, hand made, or made of reclaimed, re-purposed or natural materials, My Sparrow furniture has an aura of subtle age and greater purpose. It would be easy to imagine these pieces in the seaside cottage of someone like Rachel Carson. Wave washed shells strewn across the top, and antiquated science tomes stacked against the legs.

Says Christina -
“I was inspired to start My Sparrow after reading quite a few of the “green” living books that are on the market and noticing that it was hard to find fun, good quality and good looking pieces for homes and for design projects that are eco friendly. I love the combination of old and new and mixing styles to create a comfortable livable environment. My Sparrow was an opportunity for me to bring items together that I found as an interior designer that were eco friendly and stylish, and share them with the retail customer.”

Note:
* When I was a child I had a book called “Sparrows Don’t Drop Candy Wrappers”. Sadly, I long ago lost track of my copy, but I fondly remember its earnest, yet whimsical look at how people were behaving thoughtlessly to the environment, and how we kids could learn to treat it better. I’ve no doubt this book has influenced me to this very day.
